Streetlight Manifesto's new album hit shelves on Tuesday. It is volume 1 of an ambitious multi-album project. 99 Songs of the Revolution is to be 99 cover songs being done by Streetlight Manifesto, Bandits of the Acoustic Revolution, and two more RISC Group bands. On a first listen, SLM's cover of "Linoleum" and "Hell" are probably the most standout tracks. However, "Such Great Heights," "Me and Julio Down By the School Yard," and "They Provide The Paint for the Picture-Perfect Masterpiece That You Will Paint on the Insides of Your Eyelids" are all superb tracks.
Easily the best cover albums in quite a while. Pick it up if you love Ska, Streetlight, or great covers.
